A Rose Among the Briars

Worst. Title. Ever.

So apparently I have a thing for drawing different incarnations of Sleeping Beauty asleep while their prine watches them, considering I also did it with Half Upon A Time. This time it's Briar Rose and Liam from The Hero's Guides. I first realized I could potentially ship them at the end of the second book (AKA the book that made me so freaking confused about shipping I could hardly think straight), but the third and final book really cemented my love of this pairing. I have the feeling I'm probably in the minority with this ship (No doubt Ella's the more popular pairing for Liam, but I just don't see that working well in the long run), but I don't think I could change my love of this pairing if I wanted to.

When I set out to draw them a couple days ago, I was fully intending to draw something that better captured how I see their relationship working (lots of arguing intermingled with a passionate romantic love; a lot like Howl and Sophie from the Howl's Moving Castle books but scarier). Instead, fluff happened. Oh, well.
