Skin Color Palette (Updated)

EDIT 6/8/2014: So since this is one of the most popular resources I have on my dA despite it being really old and just kind of thrown together, I though it was time to give it an update to make it neater and to include more colors. All the colors from the original are still included, but I've made everything more neatly laid out and went through all the finished digital works I have saved in my art folder to select skin colors. All the colors pictured were used as the main/base color for skin that was intended to be portrayed within the actual possibility of human skin tones. As with before, there very well might be repeats because I didn't check that carefully. For the most part the pictures selected from used normal daytime lighting, but a couple (notably some of the purple-y-er colors) were in nighttime lighting and were included to indicate that the setting really does affect the color used. (This was true even with daytime lighting; there are at least two places on this where three colors in a row were sampled from a single character in different pictures and looked radically different).

Feel free to download and use this for your own color selection as you see fit. Credit really isn't necessary but I'd love to hear it if this is helpful to you! Taking this out of scraps temporarily as well.

((MagicalGangster were talking about the difficulty we have in picking good skin colors, so I went ahead and made a little palette of all the colors i've ever used for skin in my artwork. It's completely at random, not very neat at all, and some of the colors could be the same for all I know, but there you have it. Feel free to use it.))
